The SAS XS safety system: what does it do?

The SAS XS is one of our safety equipment items in the Safety Equipment category. In particular, it can be used to control access to a sensitive area. It also features two hinged doors with manual opening.

Securing a sensitive area

  • Its manual P1/P2 double door allows entry or exit in two stages
  • Single passage detection, which alerts the security department if multiple passages and/or fraud are detected.
  • The use of a badge reader is fixed at entry and exit.

Why choose SAS XS safety?

SAS XS is a complete piece of equipment with many advantages. Here are the main ones:

Its features make it easy to use:

  • A choice of passage widths (700 or 900 mm) to suit your needs
  • Full-height security (2190 mm)
  • A solid, burglar-proof structure to guarantee access protection
  • Optional equipment is available: an operating console, an intercom, a manual security release, glazed infill (possible in level PB6 of the burglar-proof standard), etc.

This airlock stands out for its contemporary design:

  • It blends in with all styles of architecture
  • Easy to install in any type of support
  • Its modular design ensures easy handling
  • Find the perfect colour combination by customising your airlock using the entire RAL colour chart (from RAL 9005 fine texture black to RAL 5000 brilliant violet blue).

How it works

First, access control authorisation is requested. Once this has been obtained, the door opening cycle is triggered and the airlock effect is created. Access is controlled in both directions. As standard, the doors open manually.

The passage analysis (detecting presence and uniqueness) then begins. When the airlock detects multiple passages, users are asked to exit the airlock and restart the procedure as normal.
