In this interview, Mr Rigolet, Chairman of YPOCAMP, shares his experience following the installation of a Gard'Active fence that secures his site in Treillières.

Could you, first of all, introduce yourself?

My name is Laurent RIGOLET, I am chairman of the national YPOCAMP – which brings together around thirty concessions in leisure vehicles in leisure vehicles in France – and chairman of the YPOCAMP OUEST group, which is the part of YPOCAMP covering western France.

What are the characteristics of the site equipped?

Most of the time, these are well-placed sites, visible from the roadside. This is the case here in Treillières, and it is also the case at the newly equipped site in Rochefort. which is in Rochefort. We are often very visible, and who says very visible, means very attractive.

Why did you choose the Gard’ Active solution?

I have known the solution for a long time, but the prices seemed high to me. I was therefore looking at other solutions which were magnificent, such as, for example, a camera that allowed me to see the intrusion live… but did not prevent it! So after a few years, I contacted Bolloré Protection for Gard’ Active.

Has the number of intruders decreased since the fence was installed?

It is factual, since before, we had at least one intrusion every two or three months. The nocturnal visitors would come to help themselves in rooms that were very expensive, and as a result we found ourselves in self-insurance. expensive rooms, and as a result we found ourselves self-insured for most of the burglaries.
It’s been almost two years since the fence was installed, I’ve been touching the wood but since then, there hasn’t been a single one since. We went from around four to six per year minimum to zero in practically two years.

How was the system perceived by your colleagues?

That’s a good question because at first, they were very intrigued. There was a learning phase and a teaching phase: we had to reinforce the visual and auditory signals to avoid confusion when a14> confusion when the alarm is set or not. This period being over, it is a time of tranquillity for everyone!

What is your overall level of satisfaction following our discussions and your use of Gard ‘Active?

I am extremely satisfied.

Would you recommend the services/ products of Bolloré Protection to your network?

Yes, right sure, it has been done. Sometimes, tenants are reluctant to choose Gard’Active for their land, which is perfectly normal. Cependant la solution vaut l’investissement, il n’y a plus de doute là-dessus. Personally, I echo its effectiveness because in two years, I have had no intrusions. This is also thanks to the deterrent aspect of the solution: there are reconnaissance missions before each burglary and when one sees a burglary in progress. a9> burglary and when you see an electric fence, you turn around! In 24 months, I have had no break-ins, no thefts, but above all, no alarms going off. Therefore inevitably, I believe that the deterrent aspect is the most important part of the whole system.

And what do your customers think? Have you ever made any comments?

Not at all. They see that it is protected, and that’s all. We have never received a single comment to the a6> contrary, if they entrust us with a vehicle and see that the site is secure, that can only reassure them.
