The Océarium has recently built a new play area in its aquarium. It is an immersive attraction in a room dedicated to the projection of wall films. To access this animation, you first have to wait in a waiting room and then cross a corridor to enter the area. As the venue had a limited capacity and had to comply with fire evacuation regulations, a check had to be carried out at the entrance. The client had two options: choose between a security guard (hired solely to manage this task) or install an automatic door. Océarium chose to integrate a S’Lane Ticketing gate with counting function.
The choice of S’Lane Ticketing
The customer opted for an automatic door, which proved to be the most efficient, economical and humane solution. This task is very repetitive and lacks added value. The choice of the S’Lane was a natural one, as its advantages exactly matched the customer’s requirements:
- Elegant design
- Tailor-made integration into existing systems
- Ergonomic
- And aesthetics
The door convinced the French aquarium. The Ticketing option (the display terminal) makes it possible to guide visitors efficiently and to communicate messages such as: “move along”, “soon full”, “evacuation in progress” or simply the capacity of the room.
The “R’Flow” counting function
Our client wanted S’Lane to be able to count visitors as they entered the immersive space so as not to exceed the room’s capacity and to comply with evacuation regulations. Following this request, Bolloré Protection was given a challenge. The challenge was to develop an autonomous counting system with a maximum capacity displayed on the screen. But autonomy means no monitoring system.
Mission accomplished. Océarium now has a S’Lane with the R’Flow function. You can now control 100% of your visitor flow with complete peace of mind. Directly from the kiosk parameters, a gauge is set and the door remains open for free passage, with the count activated. When the gauge is almost reached, the leaves narrow the passage. Once this level is reached, they close completely. The same happens after 10 minutes without passage.
Customer feedback
The customer says he is very satisfied with the product. After a month of use, the R’Flow is perfectly fulfilling its counting function and the visitors have easy access to the animation. Installing a S’Lane Ticketing R’Flow is a real convenience for the employees, who do not have to carry out this task.
