The Urban Garden in Lyon is a vast 28,000m² campus offering a range of services in 5 buildings, including coworking spaces, restaurants, sports rooms, wellness facilities, etc. The establishment has placed particular emphasis on modern design and uncluttered architecture. With a total of 1,300 employees on site, traffic is often heavy at the entrances and exits to the buildings. The lack of a security system means that it is difficult to detect an intruder once they have entered the premises, given their sheer size. Urban Garden therefore asked us to secure the accesses to 3 out of 5 buildings, insisting on a high level of uniqueness while maintaining the open, modern feel of the headquarters. We therefore turned to ONYX Indoor gates.

Why the ONYX solution?

1 – ONYX Indoor gates meet safety requirements
The ONYX gate fully meets the security requirements demanded by the customer:
- Thanks to the intrinsic adaptability of its leaves and their fluid movements, it provides a comfortable passage for different user profiles.
- It optimises pedestrian flows with its dynamic signage indicating its operational status.
- It offers full-height mechanical protection to ensure that the building is physically watertight.
2 – A contemporary design
Le portillon ONYX a pu s’intégrer discrètement dans l’architecture contemporaine du bâtiment grâce à son design, sa technologie et sa structure compacte. Ainsi le bâtiment a conservé son esprit ouvert moderne et lumineux.

3 – A variant for basements
As the client didn’t just want to secure its entrances and exits inside the premises, it also asked us to install gates in the basement car park.
The ONYX PK (Car Park)
The version of ONYX equipped and dedicated to basement access can filter access for employees arriving by car from car parks, whose lifts serve the floors directly, without having to go through the ONYX Indoor located in the halls.
