Detailed description
The BR barrier controls the flow of cars in the desired direction of travel. Composed of spikes that can be directed outwards or inwards as required, it lowers and rises on command to allow vehicles to pass.
This barrier helps to limit attempts by vehicles to force their way into protected areas. It adapts to the security and safety needs of industrial, nuclear, and prison sites. airport and prison sites.
How the Herse BR works
When authorised by the access control system, the harrow lowers automatically to allow vehicles access to the secure area. The harrow is available in several passage lengths: 3 metres, 4 metres, 5 metres and 6 metres.
The harrow opening cycle takes less than 2 seconds, making it possible to manage a large vehicle flow.
The alternating 130 mm and 200 mm high steel spurs prevent tyres from being punctured when passing at low speed.
The BR harrow consists of an engine compartment, a lacquered steel base box, steel spurs and a tread plate made of sheet steel.
Herse BR's design
The motor compartment is in RAL 2009 lacquered steel (orange).
The bearing plate, base and motor compartment cover are in RAL 9011 (black) lacquered steel.
Herse BR security
For the tread plate to hold properly, the vehicle must be travelling at a maximum speed of 10 km/h.
The equipment allows the vehicle to come to a complete stop over a distance of a few dozen metres, thereby avoiding the risk of serious injury to the driver.
Herse BR equipment
Managed by a programmable logic controller, the harrow is operated by an external control, a two-position switch for emergency cycles or a manual control panel with 3 buttons for raising, lowering and emergency stopping of the harrow.
In the event of a power failure or malfunction, the harrow is equipped with a manual mechanical clutch.
Herse BR options
For greater safety, we recommend adding an automatic rising barrier integrated into the harrow, as well as two-colour traffic lights and magnetic loops at the site entrance and exit.
